Free listing questions

Is a VTA business listing really free?

Yes. A basic listing is free: your business name, type, location and service area, phone, website and a short description. There is no contract and no credit card. Featured listings and spotlights are optional paid upgrades, and they are always labeled.

Do I need to join the Crew to get listed?

No. Business listings don’t require a Join the Crew membership. If you’d like the newsletter, free tools and member perks too, check one box on the form to add a free membership.

Who can list in the VTA directory?

Businesses that sell, build, supply, fix or run vocational trucks in the United States: truck dealers, body builders and upfitters, parts suppliers, repair and service shops, haulers and companies that rent trucks with an operator.

How does VTA review listings?

VTA checks every listing before it goes live. For haulers and truck-and-operator companies, VTA also checks the USDOT number against FMCSA public records when one is provided. We email you when your listing is live.

Do haulers need a USDOT number to list?

You can submit a listing without one. FMCSA requires a USDOT number for commercial vehicles of 10,001 pounds or more used in interstate commerce, and many states require one for in-state work too. A listing shows DOT verified only when the number matches FMCSA records.

Can I update or remove my listing?

Yes. Reply to your confirmation email or send a message through the contact page, and VTA will update or remove your listing.

How can my business get more calls from the directory?

Complete your listing with your services, trucks or brands and a short description. Featured listings and state spotlights are optional paid upgrades that put your business higher in searches.
